Events ahead...

*Wednesday, August 27 from 6-7 pm is the New Family Dinner.  From 7-8 pm is our Ice-Cream Social where the students can visit their classroom for a quick tour and a sweet treat!

INFO for the WEEK of SEPTEMBER 2-5
*We will be establishing and practicing many of our daily routines.  We will create classroom social contracts for positive behavior learning communities.  We will also start off the bat practicing stamina with independent work. 
*Please take a few minutes to review our First Grade Handbook and any additional papers sent home. 
*Please take time to log onto ClassroomDojo with the code provided.  This will give you an opportunity to track your child's daily behavior choices. 
*If you would like your child to have a morning snack during our break, please pack one daily.  Remember we are a peanut-free school. 
*If your child will be leaving out the back parking lot (West), please inform us ASAP.

Last Days Info

*Monday afternoon we will spend with our 5th grade reading buddies down at Kollen Park.  We will play some games and have a little treat to celebrate our year together!  Please remember to wear comfy shoes. 

*Tuesday we will be cleaning out cubbies and desks.  Please come to school with a bag to carry things home.  Summer Bridge Books will also go home on Tuesday.  I've attached a sticker on the front of Bridge Books with the summer dates of Vanderbilt Bridge parties. 

*Wednesday is our last day with dismissal at 11:30.  We will have a small awards ceremony in our classroom at 8:15.  It will be done by 8:45 so parents can attend other grade levels if needed.  Specials teachers will be honoring some students and all our first graders will receive an affirmation award as well!  They rest of the morning will be spent doing fun activities to kick off our summer break. 

*Thank you all for working together this year.  It was a year full of learning and smiles!  Wishing everyone a wonderful summer break with family and friends!!
